Akunna is from Kansas City, MO. She received her Bachelor of Art in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University, she then moved to San Diego, CA where she received her Juris doctor from California Western School of Law. Akunna has extensive employment counseling and litigation experience. Since joining JDKG she has focused her practice in the area of employment and commercial litigation.

Akunna enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family and friends.
