Sara was born and raised in California and graduated with honors from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. She moved to Texas to attain her M.A. at Baylor University and then attended South Texas College of Law in Houston where she obtained her J.D. Sara has worked in the areas of bankruptcy law and bankruptcy litigation representing debtors, creditors and creditor committees in chapter 11 cases and representing creditors and trustees in chapter 7 and 13 cases. Sara was the 2013 recipient of the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Section–Young Lawyer Committee Outstanding Young Bankruptcy Lawyer Award. Sara also has experience in general commercial litigation, commercial transactions and real estate, including foreclosures.
While Sara continues to assist clients in other areas of the law, she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, commercial transactions, bankruptcy litigation and appeals. Sara’s philosophy is that her clients come first. She believes that good communication and cost-effective representation are key ingredients to successful legal representation.

Sara is actively involved in the legal profession and her local community. She holds leadership positions in several legal organizations and has been instrumental in the coordination of several state-wide legal conferences. She is also an active member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church and coached numerous national and state moot court teams for the nationally recognized South Texas College of Law Advocacy Program.

On a personal level, Sara enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys working out, and particularly enjoys Zumba classes.
